 Abstract. This paper defines the concept of a gender equality plan (GEP) and its role in developing the scientific potential of universities and ensuring transparency in career advancement within research and innovation activities. It examines the existing regulatory framework in Ukraine for developing a GEP. Based on the analysis of practices for developing and monitoring the implementation of gender equality plans in EU countries, a list of recommendations has been formulated for developing such plans in Ukraine and establishing a mechanism to monitor their implementation.

Intended for representatives of government agencies, experts, researchers, and faculty members at institutions of higher education.
